Power gone from 99.5

There have been rumors floating around of changes on some of the Houston translators starting May 1, and the first shoe seems to have dropped. Power is gone from 99.5, replaced by a similar LatinoMax produced format with generic 99.5 imaging.

Supposedly other changes on the way, but waiting for them to actually happen.

There are some potential suitors, but it's still a risky business since you're at the mercy of FCC compliance.

It would suck to lease a translator and build a good client base only to get shut down by the FCC.

The Power stream is still identifying as KGBC Galveston/Houston "Power 99.5".
I was listening to 99.5 around midnight this morning and it sounded like they were still making adjustments after changing the program feed; some stretches of dead air, digital stuttering and tweaking the audio processing. Sounded clean when checked again around 7:30am.

TOTH heard on the air “This is K258DA Houston K25AE2 (what it sounds like) Sugar Land broadcasting in high definition.” It is not on any HD FM subchannel. Maybe high definition TV??
