Power Mix vs Saturday Q

I love mix shows so I made it a point to check out Power 96.1s live broadcast from Eastside Station, this evening. And as with the Peachdrop.....was completely underwhelmed. I listen to them via I heart radio app. So I said to myself surely the legendary Z100 is doing something, but they were playing slow put you to sleep music. I was disappointed.

The Power Mix was very stale and predictable. Also only last 2 hrs from 10-12. Now at the moment I am listening to Saturday Night Q live from Vanquish.....and this is what I am talking about!!! This is how a top 40 mix should be done......pretty much every song is remixed!!!! I love it. Reminds me of what I thought Z100 should be doing!!

Hats off to Q100 for having a great mix show. Honorable mention goes to Mami Chula's Mami Mix weeknights on Wild....I love her mix show as well.

Any thoughts??

I agree. I think Cumulus becomes a little "libertarian" if you will with Q100 for the mix show. I wished Q100 could sound fresh as they do on Saturday nights. Power and Wild are both predictable with the same old crap over and over and over. If you like the deeper trans/electronic stuff (not top 40 mix), check out the Ultra Radio program on Wild at 2 a.m. Its from 2 to 4 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Again, its not popular dance music, instead, more deep dark trance cuts.

"Atlanta's Party Station" sounds horrible and Mami Chula's "Mami Mix" are recorded. I had so much hope for CC when they brought the "Party Station" format to ATL but clearly both HOT 107.9, STREETZ 94.5 and V103 owns that title. Even Urban AC, MAJIC 107.5/97.5 has more mixshows and live club brodacasts than WILD and POWER.
