Supposedly, from what I gathered was Atlanta CHR Power961 was cleaning house due to iHeart buget cuts and was going to be more automated than ever. They fired their live/local morning show as well as PM drive Ryan Maddox.
Now, I'm finding that they've actually hired….(even relocated) MiKeith from his home station in St Louis, to Atlanta to be live/local evenings, 7-12 for the the first time in Power's history. Then, they just hired a new jock (I believe from Boston), Ethan Cole to do live/local afternoons 2-7. Ethan also moved to Atlanta. Plus if I heard it correctly, this new Jubal (sp?) morning show will also be live from good ole Peachtree Palisades building. So, what gives? I mean, I'm glad to have even more live/local voices than ever before on Power. But, what was all this about cost cutting and becoming more automated? Any thoughts?
