Gee, do you THINK the cowboys' preseason games & the rangers still in the fight could have helped bump 105.3's cume by 200,000 in august?.

NAH!! Well, YEAH!!

Could there be any typos on there? If not, KRLD has lost HALF its audience since June. How could that be? It's not like they've had any personnel changes or anything ... oops, wait a minute.

Never mind.

Although this doesn't affect the 25-54 numbers posted earlier in this thread: actually, you are correct, there IS a typo. Upon closer inspection & viewing a couple other sites, there's an error on the Dallas-Ft. Worth ratings grid. The August 2009 data for KRLD-AM & KRLD-FM was inverted. (This happens on www.radio-info.com's ratings grid pages sometimes, especially with stations that share the same call letters on AM & FM.)
It should read:

KRLD-AM 2.4 share 482,600 cume News/Talk CBS Radio
KRLD-FM 1.3 share 282,100 cume Sports CBS Radio

From a very uninformed lurker, it's interesting that Libermann seems to be giving Univision a little competition. While KLNO is top 5 as usual, it's next closest Hispanic competition are KBOC and KNOR. if I'm not mistaken KLNO and KESS were both top 10 stations a year or so ago. Today KESS is tied for 29th! I assume Univision has the revenue race all to itself though.

And for all the crap CBS takes, KLUV at number 3 25-54 is not shabby. Competitor KPMZ is now a niche format station and would not exist if it were a true Cedar Hill class C.

Some Ipods will soon have FM. Gotta love it!

Economics of radio really must be odd: Clear Channel can't afford to have live jocks on most of the shifts of their stations (three stations of which are in the top 10), but yet somehow 49th ranked KHYI and KMNY manage live programming.

Seriously, for all the champions of the afternoon shows on 1360, it seems like only 3 businesses in D/FW buy advertising (some mortgage firm that targets renters, a car dealership, and some club) whenever I flipped by. How on earth are these people making money to pay for the airtime and the cost of the on-air staff, producers, board ops, etc.?

There is another way to look at it. That even with VT'ed jocks on "most shifts", they still manage to place 3 stations in the top 10.

They CAN afford to pay live jocks, they're just deciding not to, and they're not paying the cost for doing so.
