Should have had some numbers by now, correct? Anyone have any insight?

If i'm not mistaken, the official tallies begin in September. We should've had some pre-PPM trial numbers by now I would think. Anyone, anyone?

Will Saga and RadiOhio be included in PPM?

I would be shocked if they are not encoding ... however if they do not subscribe to the book, they will not be in the public released PPM numbers.

The exact release date for the initial official monthly PPM report alans613 mentioned is 9/14.  So, unless any insiders share some pre-currency numbers (please??), that's probably the soonest we'll see any numbers.

I'm under the impression that no numbers have leaked is because the PPM is not as rewarding to some as the diary methodology.

Interesting. Then maybe we'll start seeing some noticeable adjustments soon...

The first public release of PPM data will be on 10/8. It'll be the third month of PPM data that subscribers have seen, and it makes all three of those months "currency", or official, for the whole market.

Florentino just answered that. First public release of data, 10/8. The 12+ were public in diary, 6+ in PPM. So this time next week, we can all gather here at the board and check out the first batch!

WNCI will dominate, obviously.

My guesses is that WNCI, WTVN and WCOL will be champs towards the top =) 106.7 should do nicely too with the format change to GenX! Go Clear Channel =)

Nice to hear that 106.7 will have a big and well-deserved bump with Gen-X.  They've done an excellent job from the start, but it's gotten even better lately.  Too bad it's stuck on CC/Columbus' only spotty-reach FM signal.  Just think of what Gen-X could do for the cluster on 93.3, where it logically deserves to be!

I disagree. Gen X sounded better when they first launched. The music is quite repetitive. They'll look pretty good in PPM, but so will Rewind, at least they will over time.

Well of course partly it's just a disagreement in tastes.  I'm sure many, maybe most, readers would agree with your assessment instead of mine.  But from a business standpoint, I think the changes they have made make the station more at-work and kids-in-the-car friendly.  I.e., less, "turn that off!" or "oops, I'd better turn it off while they're in the car."  After all, their key demo is women of a kids 'n offices age.

I think they have always sounded good for the most part, but I really wish they'd just go 1990-2004 and get rid of the Bon Jovi and other 80s stuff.
I look for WNCI, WCKX, WCGX, and WCOL to dominate. The race with the Rock formats will be interesting, since i've heard that Rock doesn't do well with the PPM. I also wonder if we'll see any numbers from Saga and RadiOhio. If so, it'll be interesting to see how WSNY and WVMX and the Rewind frequencies do, as well as 97.1. Anyone know how Sports does on the FM? As much as I can't stand 97.1, I am willing to bet even if they got less than a 1 share that the Wolfe family would keep it Sports. A music format on 97.1 looks as likely as seeing an ocean in Kansas.
