Wonder if they will publish all the ratings or just the "subscribers"? For whatever reason, they currently no longer publish the non-subs like WFDM. In most other markets, they publish everyone, but not here. Wonder if they'll back off on that policy with PPM?
I thought I heard they were publishing everyone as long as you had an encoder? I could be wrong, but I recall it being a big deal for non-comms like us (but maybe we still would have to subscribe).
Media outlets (sales pigs) will have available a list of all stations and their numbers. This is good for non coms.
In the past RRC sold ratings but you could not compare WEEM to WIBC for example, only to station A B and WEEM with the first 2 being commercial.
They have not supplied encoders to everyone yet...bigger fish I suppose. Setup is clearly requiring that you only encode on your station. They are concerned about having 2 stations with 2 encoders running at once. So in the details they want a separate agreement and encoding for internet.
All encoders are pre EAS however. This means that any alerts from WFBQ will carry their ppm encoding on EVERY STATION. How idiotic. I noted that when we relayed we would be relaying another station. They don't understand. This pre EAS encoding means that for 60 seconds your encoder will become deactivated.
The encoding is below the noise floor and activates every 5 seconds on music stations, 20 seconds on talkers. May relocate on the other side.
