PPM lands in 08'... and becomes Currency in 09'...

So arbitron begins it's placing it's preliminary PPM tests in the Fall of 08... and from what I hear it doesn't become current till around the 2nd quarter of 09'. Do you really see KESZ and KHOT hanging on to those numbers? How do you see the PPM affecting some of the Top ranked stations and who potentialy could make a jump up in both the General Market and Hispanic rankings?
 
KHOT no, KESZ yes. PPM is berry, berry good for AC.

Look at the front page of Radio-info.com for the KODA story. Similar story in Philadelphia.

They will build the panel starting late this year, release test data in for April and May, 09, and June will be the first currency release.

In Houston, Spanish language shares are now about 10% higher than they were in the last diarly survey, so that area will do well. AC and rock does better, country about the same, smooth jazz does less well.

Any idea how it may affect the Oldies format?
 
Oldies in NYC and Philly does much better in the PPM world :eek:
