PPM Question

If a given station is using PPM and also simulcasting on the Internet would online listeners be identified as official listeners?

Well the recent ratings report for the Dallas market just showed a reading for KERA-STR, the STR meaning the web stream. So my guess is the station has one encoder for their OTA signal and another for the web stream. If all stations do it this way, then they'd be counted based on whicheevr signal they are listening to.

Each service is separately encoded, but any station that does a full simulcast on its stream may select total line reporting, in which all simulcast partners are reported as a sum of the parts. This is the same thing as is done with full AM/FM, FM/FM and AM/AM simulcasts.
