Unless CC is prepared to switch one of their FM's, I just can't see who would currently make that plunge as long as CC has all of the Top Rated Syndicated Talk Shows unless someone raids KFBK or KSTE of their syndicated talk or even some of their Top Local Talent? There is not much Syndicated Talk Available that KFBK, KSTE or even KTKZ doesn't have, or at least the kind that would generate ratings?

That's a curious observation. If their talkers are so attractive, why aren't people under 40 listening? Someone here used age 40 as a benchmark, so let's go with that. You're talking about content. People who claim the under-40 crowd won't listen to AM radio even if the content is good --"top rated," even. If that's true, why wouldn't an FM talk station work with a battery of other syndicated talkers, or heaven forbid, local talkers? If they're on FM would it matter to the under 40 crowd as long as it's not an AM signal? And if you had the choice between the long term equity of the under 40 demos or the aging out-of-the money demos listening to AM, which would you prefer to sell? Or buy?

Funny how the average age for network and cable news is 60 years old. Why doesn't tv have a hard time selling those demos? Hummm...

Because ads for pharmaceuticals don't really work on radio.

People under 40 don't listen to talk radio because they don't listen to AM. Put the same talk shows normally heard on AM on FM and the demos will get younger.
