I have one of these boardsand the problem I ran into was the cue kept going out. So what i would do is tap the modual and sometimes it will come back. so I pulled the modual and there is a large chip looks like a computer processor with the number A42MX09 on it. I removed it to reseat it and lost all outputs. So I thought I put The chip back wrong but to find out it can go only one way in. So I tryied it again and no output at all. Removed it again Looked at the pins that is soldered to the socket with a very fine pick to find that many of the pins that is soldered to the board had loose connections or better to say cold solder. This not a easy fix since the chip has over 80 legs and the space you have to solder is very tight. Pulled out my fine tip soldering iron to do the job. Turned out this was the problem after buying another console. I do Believe this is a common problem because of the light solder they put on the legs of the socket! And I mean Little solder! You can buy this chip for over 100.00 but remember it's not PROGRAMMED! They designed the socket so you can buy the upgrade chip because these chips are programmable but since the console is no longer in service. I believe if you remove the socket the chip sit in and solder the chip to the board is better to do. I do have all the test gigs for this console. Just wanted to share with many who have this console. I will repair and have extra moduals. Just Keeping the Airwave Digital alive!
