I Am Listening To Praise 92.7 And They Just Cut Over. Nothing Much Is New; They State They Will Simulcast What Is On 100.9. What A Waste Of Bandwidth. Steve.
The music is so huge that we had to give it to you on two frequencies!

OAN, I am so glad that right wing garbage on 1660 failed.
92.7 is upgrading from a Class A to a Class C3. 100.9 is not upgrading. They are still going to be a Class A. They are simply moving their antenna height down the same tower they are currently on and increasing wattage. They will still be a class A with no difference in coverage. It's a lateral move. The simulcast makes no sense and I don't think this will last as a simulcast.Da Mac QC said:They are upgrading it from 5.2 to 6kw. They have construction permits to increase power on 100.9 and 92.7. I got it from the FCC website.

With all due respect, you don't seem to understand how radio power works. 5200 watts at 351 meters=6000 watts at 328 feet. No upgrade. Now if they went to 6000 watts and stayed at 351 feet then that would be an upgrade. For example, class A stations where I grew up broadcast from mountaintops that were way higher than 328 feet and would broadcast with as little as 100 watts but from the higher tower would have the same exact coverage as 6000 watts at 328 feet. Here is a some what local example: http://radio-locator.com/info/WPLW-FM and http://radio-locator.com/info/WZJS-FMDa Mac QC said:6 is greater than 5.2. Upgrade.
Maybe they sell it to pay for WNOW? How is Radio One financially? Anyone know?Johnny Caudle said:Anyone have suggestions for what to do with 100.9? Radio-One isn't just going to turn the lights off. They paid 11.5 million for that stick.
