Pray for Phyills West

Thanks for the heads up, Russ. I have lost loved ones to cancer, and I know what a traumatic experience that can be. Hopefully, this can be beaten. I don't know Phyllis personally, but she is one of the beloved brethren and needs our prayers during this tough time. Rock on, Phyllis.

I am a fan of Phyllis'. She has always been interesting to listen too nights on WIMZ. I was shocked and startled when I heard the news about her cancer. I, along with all of her other listeners will definately keep her in our prayers and our hearts. I, too have lost a close family member to cancer a few years back and it was not easy seeing all that one has to go through battling this disease. I wish her well and hope to hear her back on the radio soon. WIMZ is just not the same without Phyllis West. She and Billy Kidd pull pranks on each other all the time and Phyllis has been known to get in trouble quite a bit for saying inappropriate language on the radio. She is a class act though - which is something you don't get on the radio much anymore. Heck - you don't even get a DJ on the radio anymore! We all love you Phyllis!

God bless her!!
She is in my prayers.
I have a close relative going through a similar situation right now --- stage 4 cancer.
It's sad.

God bless you Phyllis.

Please keep us up with her progress. I had an aunt who lost her battle with cancer and left this earth long before she should have, so we're very interested. Any info would be appreciated.

I heard on WIMZ today that Phyllis has been taken to a hospital in New York which has equipment to better treat her form of cancer. Billy Kidd said today that at first doctors said Phyllis had anywhere from 3 to 6 months to live because the cancer is terminal, but now the doctors in New York are saying that if this new treatment works they're hoping they might be able to give her up to 2 years, which is good news - but at the same time is bad news as well. Man that's sad. I cannot imagine being in the position where someone would tell me that I would have such a short time to live. Let's all keep her in our hearts and prayers. You can log onto WIMZ's website WWW.WIMZ.COM and they have several different things going on to help raise money to help pay for her expenses. You know, South Central must be a good company to stand by one of their employees like they have for Phyllis and supported her through all of this. We love you Phyllis!

I have an update on Phyllis. She is back from New York where she has been receiving chemotherapy treatments. Billy Kidd said this afternoon on WIMZ that sometime tomorrow afternoon, between 3 and 5, Phyllis is supposed to be there, at the studio, and is going to go on-air and talk to the listeners and personally thank them for their prayers and what they have done for her. You can go to WIMZ's website and there's all kinds of stuff listed for listeners to take part in to help Phyllis with her medical bills and other expenses. God bless you Phyllis.
