Was just thinking...What if 101.9's flip from Jazz to Rock was done to Pre-empt a possible flip of WPLJ back to Rock??? Maybe Emmis got the word that 'PLJ would change over and decided to beat them to the punch.
 
Doubt it. I can't see PLJ even considering flipping to straight-up rock. They'd probably get similar ratings to what they are getting now but risk losing the high billing they get by being such a "female-friendly" format. If anything, though, I think PLJ might see a little portion of its audience chipped away by this new competitor.
