I noticed today that 104.9 used a few pre recorded laughs and i was wondering what the general consensus on that is? do most anglo morning shows use sound effects? I know tv shows use the laughs all the time but does this work in radio??
Sound effects in radio has been around as long as radio has been around. Thus the term, 'theater of the mind." This includes laugh tracks. However, they are only as good as the execution of those effects in relation to the 'comedy routine' one is trying to convey to his/her audience.
