Pre-season NFL

So, tonight both NY teams are in pre-season action. Giants v Patriots and Jest v Eagles. CBS2 is airing the Jets Eagles game, NBC4 is airing the Giants Pats game.

Question is why are both WCTX and WCCT in Connecticut both airing the Giants Pats Game? Seems pretty foolish to be. Surely one of them should be simulcasting the Jets game?

It's not dude. WCTX carries pre-season Pats games. And every other pre-season Giants games was on WTIC-TV. Tonight for whatever reason CT-1 Media (the new name for Tribune) decided to show the Giants game on WCCT.

Isn't it unusual for one, much less two, New York O&Os to pre-empt network shows in prime time? WCBS and WNBC are both doing it the same night! Here, WMUR Manchester (ABC affiliate) and WBZ Boston (CBS affiliate) both broadcast the Patriots game.

I don't think it's unusual during pre-season. Besides, we're not in the fall season yet where new shows generally start.
