Not a brilliant prediction but listen and you will hear Howie Carr do his digusting "death pool" today with the passing of Charlies Nelson Reilly and Gretchen Wyler. Expect Dave Scondrus sound effects and the like when Reilly's name is mentioned. Welcome to more sophomoric radio from Phi Beta Kappa Carr. Waste of alleged intelligence.
 
Scondras (sp). I don't know if Reilly (next to Brett Somers on the Match Game panel's
top row) was in the death pool or not.

"I want to let you know I think you're disgusting, repulsive, and should not be on the air."

"Every day."

Not intelligent? Maybe not, but he has listeners and were enough people disgusted, Howie would've been
given the DePetro treatment (run out of town) long ago. His sponsors must not be worried by the
content.
Suggest to Entercom that you'd rather listen to Noam Chomsky or some other intellectual who would
rail about what a terrorist nation we are. yeah, that would be great listening.

btw, does anyone know the ethnic listenership of Carr and Severino? Are Irish more likely to listen to Carr, and Italians more likely to listen to Severino? just wondering.

I don't know the ethnic listenership of either show. I'd like to think that many diff. ethnic groups
tune in to either.

but nice try.

Pat Buchanan's sister Angela "Bay" Buchanan will be on instead.

There are several foods that I either don't like or really gross me out so I never eat them, Casablanca
loathes, hates and and despises WRKO yet tourtures himself listening to it day in and day out.
Methinks something is not quite right here.

If the only food available to eat was the food that grossed you out, you'd complain too.

Casablanca IS like a dog on a bone about Howie Carr which is obviously personal, but the issue about WRKO and WTKK being the only talk stations and the biggest difference between them being the ethnicity of their middle aged balding white guy conservative making fun of everyone not just like them hosts - well, it's like an ice cream shop with two kinds of vanilla ice cream and nothing else.

Time for another shop to open.
 
Last time I schrolled the AM and FM bands I count at least 60 local signals and easily get the NYC major
AM'swith a little effort, If he wants liberal talk get satellite radio, its not that expensive if he really wants it that bad. If it were so heavily in demand some one would be programming it, radio is a business.
I want to be able to listen to Shulke Beautiful music but I guess no one else does.... so thats that.
I don't whine about it constantly, I did the only thing I could, got XM which is as close as I could get.

well, along the same lines, if you see a thread started by Casablanca, you could just not read it and move to the next one. It's actually easier than buying and subscribing to satellite radio. ;)
 
You see the difference is I did something about it rather than bore everyone on the board with the same complaint over and over. I suppose I could skip reading it but the absurdity is starting to amuse me.

You know the frustrating thing? People complain that they don't have the station they want (like WXKS AM as a progrssive, or Hot 977 as Urban). Yet when they finally get these stations, where are all the listeners? Which means there isn't a demand, just these handfuls of people who want to whine and complain to everyone else. Well, if you wnat it that bad, indeed, buy Sirius or XM, and leave the rest of us alone. Hey, I heard Howard Stern in a Ford I was test driving the other day. That's what you want? Its available. But understand, it's only you, because the demand just doesn't exist.
 
How come you never see Pat and Bay Buchanan in a room together?
 

I love the mumbles Meneno segments , so Howie can be amusing at time !!

I believe there was another menu option and it was called "Air America." Apparently even in liberal Massachusetts, the cooking over there wasn't all that good.
