Happy New Year!!! what are your predictions for duke city radio?
Format Changes?
More Firings?
Ratings Winners?
Ratings Loser?

Any predictions?

Wow No predictions??? Come on somebody step up to the Plate!

As an outsider...

More AM moves to FM translators (if not translator hopping). Specifically 1600 and 1230.
102.9 translator moves to KKIM.
CBS Sports goes to an AM in ABQ.
One of the Oldies/Classic Rock stations gives up and cahnges format.

Just my idle speculation.

Happened two days before your post, partially anyway. 610 clears several CBS Sports Radio products as part of the agreement with Cumulus to carry and distribute the product to some markets.

Well They are OWNED by Cumulus. I predict The Live afternoon show on KOB will either go away or They will find a less expensive Host. I think 1600 AM TALK will go on FM Translator.

My prediction is that local Radio will continue down its boring path.
I enjoy my Pandora internet stations and my IPOD.
Pandora allows you to tailor a internet music channel to your personal tastes.
In addition my Kindle Fire with my tunes downloaded from Rhythm Box has also helped me from falling asleep .
Having said that as long as car dealerships and casinos keep buying terrestrial radio,it will survive.
Oh yea forgot about restaurant trades and window replacement companies.

my flash drives work for me, straight from the computer, in different folders, like having 10 radio stations at my fingertips all programmed by MOI....over 30,000 cuts on the old hard Drive..my folders on the flash drive are 50's , 60's ,70's, 80's/90's,
Soul, Classic Rock, Classic Honky Tonk/Country, Doo-Wop, Hit Parade and comedy. plug-into my USB port in my car radio and off crusin'....

KBAC and KTAO will continue to be great examples of locally programmed eclectic radio. Really enjoy them both.
