Premiere Announces New Hosts For Rush Slot

When Dick launched his own competing countdown, the National Music Survey, it was all pre-recorded tracks. Dick wasn't going to sit there for four hours and listen to all the songs. He tracked it in his office in Burbank. He knew all about voice tracking.
Nor two full length versions a week...wasn’t that one of the dual version countdowns?

Audacy has announced that some of their News/Talk stations will air Dana Loesch's show as a replacment for Rushes former spot.
Maybe I missed it, but they don't give a start date. I assume it coincides with the start of Clay & Buck on June 21.
I didn't see a date though in the release when I saw it for the Dana show that Audacy news/talk station were getting.
Update Jesse Kelly is named to take over Buck Sexton's afternoon/evening spot according to Premiere as Buck Sexton is going to join with Clay Travis to take over Rush Limbaugh's Midday spot at Premiere.
The Jesse Kelly joker is apparently convinced we have sunk into Communism, there's a Communist under every bed, and we need to do "uncomfortable things" (criminal?) to rid America of Communism. Hmmm getting a show on stations owned by a major corporation to advocate the violent overthrow of the government.

Good question. I imagine the format will survive but it has pigeonholed itself with the Trumpist right.

People need to start being held accountable for this kind of stuff. What these folks don't realize (or maybe they do) is that there are certain segments of the population who hang on their every word, believe literally in what they're being told, and in some cases are either not all there mentally or just want to be a "hero to the cause". When they read things like this, they see it as a potential call to action. When they hear the former president call them to duty, they do it with blind loyalty. Its this kind of crap that causes law enforcement to find someone in a van with political propaganda and stickers on the outside, and find weapons and maps inside as if the occupant was ready for battle, after listening to a steady stream of partisan talk and TV. It happens over and over, and the defense of "those shows, though they're on a "news network" are only meant for entertainment" or "we know what we said, but no one of sane mind and with common sense would actually believe what we'd told them" need to stop. You make comments that incite people to commit violent acts, you're in hot water legally and the story gets front page coverage. End of discussion.
I still remember few years ago during the lead up to a republican primary - during a debate or "meet the candidate" event they all had bees in their bonnets about abortion. They railed against abortion clinics, with each speaker making claims with various levels of accuracy, all describing those facilities as needing to be shut down by any means necessary. 2 days later, someone basically did exactly what these candidates told them to do, and set off a bomb at an abortion clinic. The media asked those candidates if their words, statements and calls to action incited this. Predictably, they all fell silent. Not even the overused and tired "thoughts and prayers" line this time.

We could start with a few stations and program directors reading the Twitter feeds of the likes of Bongino and Kelley before airing their shows. And you know, deciding not to air them. You can have a conservative talk show without seditionist dog whistles. Of course, ask Michael Medved and Joe Walsh how that's working out...

There probably isn't an answer, but there's something about the public airwaves being used to claim elections are illegitimate, and/or the country has been taken over by Communists and may need to be violently overthrown (I'm not aware of anyone in government advocating for a stateless, classless society.....even Bernie).
Not all of them. Michael Medved had a national show -- maybe he will again. He isn't a seditionist. I sometimes hear Hugh Hewitt early mornings. He doesn't preach seditionism either. Declared early on that Biden won the election fair and square. And yet, he's a conservative.
I'm sure there are some local conservative hosts in various markets here and there who aren't dogwhistle seditionists. However, they don't get the limelight. It's like the difference between GOP'ers like Romney and Kasich, and Trump. Who gets the limelight? Everyone made fun of Romney when he was running against Obama in 2012. He was conservative, staid and boring. Are they laughing at him now? Kasich got begrudging respect from some Dems I know. But he was boring, right? The US apparently doesn't like boring.
It's probably the same with conservative talk. It's unfortunate, but probably the way it is. Even so, not all of them are firebrands.
Hewitt may not preach sedition, but he defended literally everything Trump said and did. We have a moderate conservative in my market, but his callers sound like they were plucked from a QAnon chat room.
The new show launches Monday on 400 stations. That's 200 fewer stations than claimed by Rush.
