Premiere to End Randi Rhodes' Syndication

Industry news is reporting her last day on-air is 12/13.

I hate to see anyone lose a job but I have a feeling this may have more to do with her Hannity-style opposition bashing than her political position. Her show is a tough listen for that reason. Of course Hannity gets away with it because he gets ratings! Go figure.

From Inside Radio:

It’s not often a network reverses course on a decision to drop a show, but that’s what Premiere Networks has done. It’s telling affiliates of the Randi Rhodes Show that the program will remain in syndication. In a note to stations, SVP of affiliate relations Peter Tripi apologies for mix-up, adding, “In an industry of constant change, it’s a pleasure to provide good news about a talk talent we think so highly of.” Rhodes has a one-year deal through 2014.

“I’m not going to go away, no matter what Republicans might want,” Rhodes tells fans. “In that sense, I’m like Obamacare — I’m just a lot easier to access. That’s because I have a much better website.”
