Prepare for Epic Failure

You don't need to be trained to do local coverage of a hurricane, almost anyone can do it. Give out the phone number and the listeners will do the news reporting for you.
 
Both 1170 and 1230 in the Hartford market are still off the air and have been since yesterday. Kudos to WTIC AM for their excellent coverage on Sunday. Had no power from 7:45 am on Sunday to 7:45 am today and radio was the only source of info.
 
I did listen to some of Hall's coverage on Sunday morning between 10 AM and noon. It sounded as if WCTY was the main station and Kool 101 was simulcasting then, with Dan O'Brien doing local cut-ins and breaks. Meanwhile, on the Kool player, I noticed that the song "Lowdown" by Boz Scaggs was scheduled to be played during the entire 11 AM hour; when they finally returned to music at noon, they played "Crimson And Clover."

Take a look at the Eastern North Carolina board. On the whole, Cumulus' efforts during this storm were certainly nothing to write home about.
