Press communactions on air changes

In a weird move the breeze and thunder radio stations lost two on air people the last couple of days. Both Diana Deolivara (breeze morning host) & Lexi Carter (thunder midday) have been let go.This seems strange though first of all the breeze i think is starting to sound more hot ac with more current music.Which could be why Erin vogt Jones was added to the morning show. Furthermore thunder 106 seems to lose djs fast or move them all the time. Thunder is a great station and i dont think they need to start making big changes now. While the breeze has been going down in recent monmouth ocean ratings.

This is par for the course with Press. For whatever reason, they tend not to keep many of their on-air people around for long. Look at G Rock and how many DJs they had during their 8 year run under Press ownership. I don't have all the names handy right now, but I am fairly confident that they had more Programming Directors during that time span than WHTG did in the previous 15 years under Gade ownership. And they wonder why some of their stations lose listeners: it's because they assume that people only care about the music and couldn't care less about the personalities.

Re: Press communications on air changes

Press does not have grocery bags full of money anymore, spent allot. Country is a very hard sell to the merchants. Maybe it was just simply a financial move?

Actually, what formats *do* merchants buy ads on these days?

- Alternative? Nuh-uh.
- Hit radio? Not if it's 106.3/5.
- Country? Perhaps not.

Not looking good for one of two things: the market, or the sales staff.
