Clear Channel Licenses The Mark "BUZZ" from Cromwell

San Antonio, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee – December 9, 2005 – Clear Channel Communications, Inc. and The Cromwell Group, Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee have settled by agreement a federal trademark infringement lawsuit filed in June of 2004 by Cromwell against Clear Channel in the U.S. Federal District Court for the Middle District of Tenn- ssee pertaining to Clear Channel's use of the mark BUZZ in connection with various radio stations.
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, Clear Channel will license from Cromwell the right to utilize the mark BUZZ in connection with certain specified markets. Cromwell has previously licensed the BUZZ mark to various broadcasting companies, including Entercom Communications, Inc., Regent Communications, and Cumulus Broadcasting.
Cromwell's president Bayard Walters indicates that the company plans to continue protecting the BUZZ trademark and encourages any stations that may currently be utilizing BUZZ without a license to be proactive in contacting the company at 615-361¬7560 or by fax at 615-366-4313 or via e-mail at: [email protected].

You mean another "home ruin". Seems like whatever Chump Channel wants, Chump Channel gets, even though the "Buzz" is a total bust.
 
Good point, maybe they should hurry up and trademark "Denny Radio" before it tanks, I'd suggest an expedited hearing.
