Cox Radio Names Rob Babin General Sales Manager
of the New 97.1 “The River”


Atlanta, GA (Tuesday, January 24, 2006) – Cox Radio (NYSE: CXR) announced today the appointment of Rob Babin as General Sales Manager of the New 97.1 “The River” in Atlanta. Babin joins Cox Radio Atlanta from Cox Radio Orlando and WWKA, K92-FM.

“We’re building Atlanta’s next great radio station,” said Dan Kearney, Vice President and General Manager of the New 97.1 The River and WSB-FM. “Rob brings a great record of success with him.”

“The format is great, and this is a great opportunity,” said Babin. “I am excited to join the successful team at Cox Radio Atlanta.”

Babin joined Cox Radio Orlando in 2001 as Local Sales Manager for WWKA, K92FM. Cox Radio named him General Sales Manager of the station in 2002. Before joining Cox Radio, Babin worked as GSM at WYLA/WSJZ in New Orleans. Joining Babin in Atlanta will be his wife and three daughters ages 9, 6, and 5. His first day will be January 30, 2006.

Atlanta’s New 97.1 The River plays only the best Classic Hits from the late 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s. Artists including the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, the Doobie Brothers, Elton John, and Boston – as well as Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones comprise The River’s playlist and the station carries the lowest commercial load in Atlanta radio – only eight minutes/eight units an hour.
