Comedian Rob Sherwood Now A National Radio Host for Sports Byline USA Network

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Henderson, NV, United States, 12/31/2007 - Nationally known comedian Rob Sherwood is the host of Coast to Coast From Las Vegas, a new Saturday Night radio show heard in 75 markets.

For a decade, Rob Sherwood has continually climbed the comedy ladder to become a nationally known comedian. Now a regular on the comedy club scene across the USA when he’s not opening for Carrot Top at the Luxor Casino, Sherwood now is ‘going legit’ by hosting a weekly, Saturday night radio show on the Sports Byline USA Radio Network. The show is produced and sponsored by TV4U.

But he won’t be straying far from his comedy roots. In fact, listening to the show you’d be hard pressed to pigeon hole it. Is it comedy? Is it sports? Is it entertainment? Is it gaming? In fact, it’s all of these.

In December, Sherwood began his tenure as host of Coast To Coast From Las Vegas, a three hour radio show that airs each Saturday night in 75 markets across the USA, including Las Vegas, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Abilene, Palm Beach, and Columbia SC. Each show features an eclectic mix of Las Vegas entertainment stars like Clint Holmes; national comedians like Bobby Slayton; ‘Old Vegas’ legends such as Steve Rossi; and sports stars, announcers, and authors like Jean Fugett, Benny Ricardo, Bill Tosheff, Scott Wetzel, and Barry Tompkins.

“The show is a lot of fun,” said Sherwood after taping an episode so he could then head from his Las Vegas base to headline at a club in the Poconos. “Every week I get to talk with a lot of interesting people, and also have fun with some great comedians.”

Promotion is important to all performers, especially comics, who need to herald their appearances around the country.

“Coast To Coast From Las Vegas gives me a chance to promote my touring date and also those of my guests,” Sherwood continued. “I also get a chance to make friends with the affiliates and work with them when I visit their cities.”
