Did PRI pull their shows from Sirius in an exclusive deal with XM (and bucks from XM)?
Or did Sirius drop the PRI channel because they figured it wasn't drawing subscribers and the bandwidth could be better used for something else?
Two years ago, Air America Radio made an exclusive money deal with XM and pulled their programming from Sirius.
Once again, the two satellite companies fight each other to make exclusive deals and the subscriber gets screwed.
IMHO they are shooting themselves in the foot. Neither service provides everything, so the easiest choice for potential subscribers is to wait and do nothing.
And if this is a money deal, shame on Minnesota Public Radio for giving in to corporate greed. Public radio is supposed to be above this sort of thing.
PRI Shows No Longer Available On Sirius
PUBLIC RADIO INTERNATIONAL shows are no longer being carried on SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO as of TUESDAY (9/26). The programming remains on XM SATELLITE RADIO's Channel 133 and on broadcast affiliates nationwide.
