Price is Right $1million special Wed. night

 :-[ As a die hard gameshow fan, I'm embarrassed to admit I missed it somehow last night.

Thank god what ever made me miss it was there. ;)

(I honestly would have prefered to see the million dollar spectacular...A plus going out to NBC for better promotion of their programming)

Crap!!! I forgot the Thursday special too...
If anybody recorded them, let me know [email protected]

I saw the Thursday 50th, and I was impressed to see that it maintained a gameshow format, while also being a documentary, rather than just being a documentary.

Will CBS.com rebroadcast the two shows for those who missed them?

Guaranteed some clips will eventually end up on Youtube...

As far as rebroadcasts, I can bet GSN would be the likely outlet to re-air them... and re-air them... and re-air them... Can you say "Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal"? :( In other words, if you missed it, trust me, there should be many opportunities down the road...

Although it is interesting to note the number of people who missed the shows... Think if Bob Barker signed off during the May sweeps period, and as more buzz got closer to his last show, there might be a little more interest in these specials?

Since GSN doesn't have the rights to Price, they can't air the shows.

That aside, both specials were great and bittersweet.

Saw them both and agree with you on both counts.

Whoever fills Bob's shoes better either have BIG feet or several layers of socks on to make up the difference.

I just hope that the audience that genuinely likes the show gives the new person a fair shot, though I doubt it will happen. Supposed fan forums will be filled with snipes about how "Bob didn't do it that way!" and nitpicks over whatever tweaks they make to the show.

Bob didn't do it Bill Cullen's way, and things worked out just fine. Let the new person be judged on their abilities, not against an impossible legacy of someone who did it for 35 years.

Then again, people are still griping that Alex Trebek doesn't do things Art Flemming's way, so why should things be any different when someone else walks through those studio doors......
