I found this promo where the station, I believe CBS 2 Los Angeles promoted the Price Is Right moving to 4 pm. Anyone know when they had it on at 4 pm instead of the morning? In Chicago from 1982-96 WBBM 2 bumped it to afternoons for Donahue and aired the 9-10 CT shows that hour so other stations have done it too.

...that's the logo KNXT used during the 1976-77 season. I think KNXT did some seasonal tweaking of the schedule that summer, bumping "The Mike Douglas Show" back from 3:30 to 3:00 (and shaving it from 90 minutes to 60), putting "Tattletales" on at Noon and moving "TPIR" to 4:00 (with a new half-hour newscast introduced at 4:30)...

If that's the case, then it may have been a promo for the nighttime syndicated version. According to Golden-Road.net, regularly scheduled hour-long episodes of the network show were airing by November 1975 (season 4) after testing the format during Labor Day week that same year.

I don't think it would have been the syndicated version as that was only a weekly version and Bob Barker didn't take over the syndicated version until the fall 1977.

Then perhaps that KNX logo was used prior to 1976. For many years, CBS aired "The Price Is Right" in the early afternoon, sharing the hour with Match Game '7X. It moved into the late morning time slot (which it currently occupies) prior to the expansion to the hour format, sharing the hour with Gambit.
