Pro and Fun nites are open

Not only does Citadel have a nite opening in Providence at Pro-FM; but there is one out at Fun as well....I know a drawback to Fun is that it is P/T; but are they auditioning Ron Medeiros who is currently doing the shift? You figure after his time at Pro, a decision would already be made.........

Is Auston getting the gig at Pro? No movement on a decision seems coming soon and I'm thinking they are going to have J-Buff do it for the summer once finals are over....Jay, R U out there?

At this point if they actually expect Medeiros to audition for anything there then he oughta walk. If he wants it he should get it. Audition not needed. But then he may not want it. He's been kicking around long enough to either get a full time job here or elsewhere or not buy the cow and weekend with less aggravation.

The night show at fun has been up and down since Guy left...First Scott M. J-Rod and Ron were doing, then they settled on Scott.. then he left and Ron is doing it..who knows... it may seem as if we might not have a full time for a while? Who would u like to see? somone new brought it? or should they up a weekender or just keep Ron. ..theres nothing wrong with him, but is there anyone else that can do it u think??

Yeah if it's gonna remain part time
1.Someone who lives at home or is independently wealthy
2.Someone who doesn't need health care benefits
3.Someone with a day job who doesn't mind working another 5 hours at night
Only a beginner or an experienced but destitute and desperate to be on the air person would agree to work 5 or 6 days a week part time for any period of time. And if the person who gets it is decent he won't stay long anyway so what's the point. Accept the constant revolving door or make it a full time job.

The weekend jocks on the Rose in the cape sound better than most full timers. I don't know who they are, they aren't on the website. But a girl and a guy who aren't their full timers.

It wouldn't be surprising to see both stations voicetrack nights in this radio climate. Hell, some stations in the MAJOR markets are doing it, let alone New Bedford. Hiring someone part-time to work live at night would also be the way to go, but you can bet that person will eventually move into the voicetracking studio. The next move after that is automation without voicetracking, a la overnights. Either way, it's an opportunity for Citadel to cost cut and make the PD and/or GM look like a hero. Maybe $10k a year per station. $20k if there's just straight automation without the voicetracking.

Both stations won't voicetrack the night show. With both shows being 6-12, voicetracking 10-12 wouldn't surprise me. But, they won't track the whole thing. They need an actucal "night show"

they should hire someone for the PRO night show and simulcast on FUN

Seeing the slot is p/t. They should be live till 10pm. This keeps their feature of "Top-7" at 9pm local with listener interaction. And just track the rest.

Not gonna happen...2 totally different playlists/library....always has been (although more rhythmic leaning now than ever before on Fun)
