PRO-FM HOT AC-ISH AT TIMES?

No I don't think they've flipped & I don't listen to enough top 40 to really have a handle of who is playing what, but I was with someone who had PRO-FM on the other day for about 15 minutes. It was late morning & the only current I heard was Cruise. Other than that it was Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood, some Adele song, and How Far We've Come by Matchbox Twenty which I didn't feel was even big enough for any station other than a hot AC to be playing at this point. When I hit the seek button on XM & catch Z100 & KISS, the music seems to be a whole different ballgame. Is it a midday thing with them? To me, the format itself is heavy on currents & when I hear the Boston top 40 stations I get that impression too. I'm not about to take the time to compare playlists on mediabase. Is this a midday thing, request hour, or something Cumulus does with their top 40 stations?

They do have a request hour at Noon where they often play older songs. The station has been this way for years, as long as I've been listening, and that's since 1994.

It's been a midday thing on PRO-FM for a while, they definitely daypart the station's playlist. I'm surprised it hasn't changed more.... Almost all programming decisions are now made at the corporate level in Atlanta. Just today, for instance, it was announced that all music decisions are being moved even FARTHER up the chain, and must be signed off on by COO John Dickey.
