PRO FM NIGHTS

All Tony Bristol has to do is look at 3 smaller CHRs that rimshot the market for his night jock. It's just getting a little ridiculous now. 96-3 The Rose's Shannon, I98's Rivers and Q105's Double G all would be great fits at PRO-FM. All 3 are excellent jocks whose market size and talent don't really fit together. I'm sure any of those 3 would jump at the chance for the money and greener pastures of Providence.

i agree i just cant figure out why it would take a year to replace a night jock on a station that says its number one in the market unless its just mgmt. being lazy.... its one station in the market that has taken a nose dive in the wrong direction.... take sunday nights....... i think running at-40 twice in the same day is alittle over kill.....

did you have ear plugs in recently Xtreme???? what citadel station do you work for by the way
no i havent had my ear plugs in recently.... witch is why im hearing what i hear on that station afternoons.....and im sorry i dont work for citadel but i AM a listener.... and before you go bashin for me clearly stating my opinion on a message board i dont think davy is a bad guy.... i just dont think he gives his shift the drive it deserves for that station that its supposed to be

It hasn't been a year since he started looking. Only a few months. Before hiring Kerry for nights it was months and months so it does happen every time. Personally I'm thinking it was a way to give J.Buff a summer of work. That also helps the budget. Now summer's over and it's time to get someone in there. I wonder if the Buddy budget at the AM has any effect on what he has to work with.

i would think that there would still be plenty of work for j- buff... between weekends all the vacations and days off between everyone there.... they could have also used him on lite 105 if jay wanted to...(this weekend auston was on 105) so i dont think the would open up a night shift just to create a job for someone... and again its supposed to be a #1 rated station so it shouldnt even take a month to fill that slot

so any new news on this topic... i havent heard j- buff this week... im guessin hes back to school....austin is on.... so im guessin they still have not found a replacment yet lol oh well.... mabe by this time next yr. thay will

That is the date the book starts, no better time than to have someone start...just a guess

It would make sense, but I don't see that it makes that much of a difference given that the Citadel stations probably have a lock on their intended audiences at night anyway. If it isn't PRO-FM it's Hot 106. I doubt that either station's target audience is listening to any of the Clear Channel music stations at night. PRO-FM & Hot 106 are probably competing with more Ipods & the Internet than other radio stations after dark.

ur prolly right... i forget that point.... witch is why they arnt in a hurry to fill the slot..... pro, hot and prolly fun 107 compete with each other

i figured id bring this topic back for discussion..... is has anyone heard anything. i mean how ling has it been sence pro had a night jock..... or is austin been named the new night guy

With the current climate and financials, I wouldn't expect someone permanent anytime soon and J-buff to handle it once school is out (probably over the next month once he's done with exams).

Good God I miss the days of David Simpson and Nancy Grimes....... AND who knew that I would ever miss Jimmy Gray! He really was funny. PRO-FM was such a great station back then. Those people truly put PERSONALITY in the word Personality! Someone at the station please grab all the tapes from 20 years ago and just replay them on a loop. Thanks

The way things are going evenings are the new overnight. Actually middays are becoming the new overnight. Is there a trend here?

Davey Morris is the sadest excuse for a top 50 market PM drive jock i've ever heard....he sounds like he doesn't have a clue.

I think Davey is a great jock!
