Problem with Audio Phase on WPIX / 11?

Has anyone noticed starting within the last week or so, that WPIX's audio, if listening on a mono set (whether old-style CRT hooked up to a digital adapter or cable box or flat-screen pre-HD), sounds almost hollow and like it was processed through those phase shifters that one used to hear on psychedelic 1960's records. And this sound is like this all the time on the station.
 
I think I know what you're saying... Remember when WPIX used to have a simulcast translator on Channel 17? I believe that's the sound that you describe here...
