Problem with Windows Audio Encoder

robert, are you using ots for on air or just home? i have it for backup, i run Prohet Nexgen 2.never could figure out how to get the id to schedule onthe OTS .what scheduler do you run with it? It's a great program.Makes a great backup at the xmtr site..in case you lose the STL.

Using it at home right now, but I am setting it up to demo it as a backup system for use at work. I have interfaced it with Selector XV. The only thing I don't like about OtsDJ at the moment, is how the TimeSync function works, when compared against the same feature on the UDS2 system from On Air Digital. UDS gives you three different time updating features; non-mandatory, mandatory and instantanious. OtsDJ only does the last one. Of course Ots has a separate scheduling and logging module for something like $400, but I don't have any experience with it.

All-

I was playing with the encoder program today. It seems "sluggish" when opening and when being configured. I assume that indicates the CPU and RAM issue?
(Remember, currently running an AMD 805MHz and 256 RAM)

Okay, I'll take your suggestions and try another machine with a faster CPU and with more RAM. I'll see how that works...

Thanks for your thoughts...
