Processing Advice for Hip-Hop station

Launched in July but have not tweaked any Processing settings besides the EQ, because the generic processing on the automation sounded fine to me and the deejays. It's an internet radio station that uses SAM Broadcaster which has a 5 bands processor I beleive. I have a few deejays and promotors working with me but none have good knowledge of processing.

Get Breakaway Live. Best $129 you can spend and will make your stream sound great. I don't work for them or have any financial stake in this, I just know how it sounds. Select a preset, tweak and you'll have great sound. You also can't get into too much trouble with it.

Quite a few other people have reccomended that to me, I will have to give it a try! People always seem to speak highly of it.

Be aware - if you aren't already - a lot of the hip - hop currently being produced is a perfect SOS (shower o stuff). Don't be upset if/when the crummy product still sounds crummy. When it's already munged up coming in, about all any processor can do is not make it any worse.

Run your AGC a little light. It will help with this content. I agree with littlejohn. So much of my content is mastered so hard, it makes it difficult to get a consistent, clean sound.
