PROCESSING AT KZEP

I was in San Anonio today,checking out KZEP since it was taken over by CC. I noticed that the jocks seem to be doing more than just playig the hits, there seems to be some prep in thier work amd the processng was great. I could tell a BIG differnce in the sound than the last time I was in SA. Congratulations to the engineering dept for the good work. Programming, you still need some work, same ole boring hits. There is alot of ckassic rock, expand the format.
 
Has KZEP changed their studio name to "The Red McCombs Ford Studios" or something, like how they name their CC studios in Houston?

Let's address these from the top: Processing is better, yes. KZEP plays the hits because that's what people want. But along with that is anyone in town playing Moxy, Legs D, Riot, Saxon? KZEP plays more AC/DC, JP, etc then any station in town or Texas. #2> Red McCombs Studios?? Where the hell did you get that from? #3> No one is under any type of contract. #4> Yea, and I just heard 'Big Balls' on Q right after "The Ripper...." Too many posts, so little knowledge..
 
I'd love to get into this, but I can't seem to listen to KZEP for more than 5-10 minutes. I know Dave Delgado is still there and that is one funny dude. He does have an odd habit of stepping in dog poo and then bringing it into everyone's office. Most likely he failed to put that on his resume. Lovely.

Is this someone promoting themselves or their employer, again? KZEP sounds the same to me. Same boring reruns, same lame DJs, same everything. Maybe because I am a little younger than their target demo I might not appreciate their selection of Classic Rock as much as others. Sure they might be the only station in the entire state that plays ACDC,JP et al, but play some of their OTHER SONGS, not just the same 2 or 3 that you've worn out for the last 20 years. Oh! but you can't do that, your ratings might go up.

A few CC stations in Houston name thier studios either after cars or car dealerships, or have some kind of contract with a big dealership. That's where I got that from.
 
Naming the studios is probably part of a package that includes a certain number of ''mentions.'' Tie the mention to the station ID and you have 168 guaranteed mentions a week.
