Production director at Lincoln Financial

Greg Cook has been promoted to production director for all three Lincoln Financial Media stations. He replaces Jeff Prentice, who retired in July. He'll step into the roll on Monday at KiFM, FM 94/9 and KSON. He will continue his air shift on KSON during the weekends.

Greg was previously heard on Magic 92.5 (and when it was Magic 95.7).

This is the first paragraph of the actual job posting on the LFM website:

Production Director
Lincoln Financial Media has an extremely rare opening for a “Production Director” who can handle our busy three station cluster (KBZT, KIFM and KSON) in San Diego. You MUST have, at least five years of “Large Market” experience as a Production Director. We’re not looking for jocks who “know how to do production”; we need a real Production Director with a positive attitude.

Maybe Greg is a Production Director who "knows how to jock."

Sorry to see Jeff retire. He's a great, talented guy. He gave me my first tour of a real radio station at the old KUDE in Oceanside, way... way back in the day.

Greg is a nice guy, and I'm sure he will do great. Unfortunately, the job is grueling, and one of the lowest-paying Production Director positions in town.
