DCRTV has an interesting item: Apparently on Monday afternoon, audio of a raunchy "SCTV" skit made it out over the air during one of their "traffic and weather together" updates... Jim Farley explains:
"Traffic reporter did live traffic followed by live weather. Traffic reporter opened an e-mail that had audio of a skit from 'SCTV' and it was wired through his board by mistake. Anchors hit the 'dump' button but not in time. We've done some things here to make sure it never happens again..."
Let's hope one of the "things" Farley is referring to is putting restrictions on employees' work email accounts. (Have them clamp down on Facebook usage at work, too, while they're at it.)
By the way... Could you imagine if this happened while WTOP was still under Bonneville ownership?
