Professor Del Colliano's "Media Solutions Lab" A success

I can't wait for KOOL Listener Lauren to give some one-on-one insights into the happenings at the Westin Kierland Resort today, and from those who attended Jerry Del Colliano's "Media Solutions Lab" -- of which Lauren actively participated and put in a lot of hours in preparation and execution with Jerry who spent, literally, years, putting this event into reality, as did Jerry's wife, Cheryl. Word is -- the event was a smash hit and very successful. Congratulations!

Jerry is commended for not his keen insight, but a solid vision into what the online digital media landscape — especially that for Radio — will be in the near immediate future. There is a new revolution about to take place — and we are all going to be part of it.

Fasten up. It will be quite a ride as we know it for Radio — if it is to survive.

I'm sure Lauren will have a few details and I hope you'll respond with posts about the seminar. She did a great job.

Jerry says, “The radio, music and new media folks who are attending my Media Solutions Lab today are a very special breed of people who invested their time and money to learn about the challenges and opportunities ahead for traditional and new media. I have a great deal of admiration for them. You give me great hope that radio talent will be a presence in the digital future.”

Today’s younger generation is already thinking about, talking about and developing habits that we never assumed “back in the day,” and our media “ability” is rapidly being lost in a cloud of dust, as tomorrow’s generation is already streaking for the goalline of what they want and need.

And, truly, Jerry’s right there waiting for them. He’ll leave you in the dust if you ignore the vision, I assure you.

A special thanks and congratulations to our good friend KOOL Listener Lauren, with her professionalism, energy and ability and who was a significant help today as an “intern / volunteer” for Jerry’s “Media Solutions Lab” onsite and off, working closely with Jerry for over a year in her desire to part of this vision and experience. Good choice, Jerry and thank you!

She’s going places.

Thanks to all who attended and congratulations to Jerry. Well done.
