Kahuna is a friend of mine and he is not looking for work, he continues to work at Paragon Casino Resort, as well as consulting 2 stations back in NC., along with graphic artwork on the side. I wish him all the best of luck.

You must be his only friend. All I can say about Kahuna.....what goes around comes around, sometimes it takes a while to make the circle. He has cost so many people their jobs and now he finally got his. Opus might be a little smarter than I thought.

Count that as two friends "Kahuna" has, everyone likes to bash him becaus he never lashes back at them, at least not on this board when they bash him, I worked with him in Lake Charles and he is one damned detailed person, thinks everything has to be perfect, but all good programmers I have worked with have been that way. Yes I have seen him make strict rules in the workplace, but he always took care of the ones who follow the rules and was harsh to those who didn't at least try, he helped me in radio more than once, and this guy can teach you a lot in just a matter of days, when youre up in your game people are always trying to beat you down, I see it happening down here even today. You always know who your friends are and were, even years later.

Kahuna is a great person to be around, like any boss, as long as you do what is expected there will be no problems. I can not even begin to explain all that I have learned from him in the past. I also would like to add, that you will very seldom run across a man that dedicates his life to radio such as Kahuna. No matter what time of the day, you could just about bet he was at the station doing something. And yea, the saying what goes around comes around is true, but that works both ways. I don't see him on here lashing anyone he use to work with because they had a difference of opinon.

Oh, for goodness sake! You two friends of Kahuna's obviously don't know him well enough to know the real Kahuna. I will give you this. Kahuna was a legend when it comes to production. Period! He has talent but lacks the brains and mentality. I can pull out ratings to prove it. In the past several years, he's taken stations with decent ratings and lowered them to an all time low. The "soap opera" that this guy lives makes Days Of Our Lives look like an action packed movie. He created more chaos and hatred within friends and people and co-workers I have evr seen. He could not tell the truth about ANYTHING to save his life. He made EVERYTHING up! I feel I am safe to say OPUS is a MUCH better company to work for now that he is gone. Rumor has it they all went out and celebrated. Who is going to take over as OM though and Mornings on 104.3??? It could be Kermit The Frog and the atmosphere and ratings would be better!!! Guranteed! But who will be OM? Rick? Nah...doesn't have the passion for it anymore Mike K? Doubt it...not enough experience in management. Who????
If you wanna know about the real Kahuna, don't come here for answers...go to people who know him well. ALl the people Kahuna used to be "best friends" with no longer speak to him. Jay Stevens, Hollywood, Gator, Mike Karson, Shy Taylor. The list goes on and on. I have spoken to them ALL personally and they all have said 1 thing...they HATE HIM and him getting the axe was the highlight of their year to this point!!! Could not have happened to a person who deserved it anymore then he.
JingleFreak...Kahuna has NEVER consulted a station in his LIFE! I can GURANTEE you that. Just because says it...does not mean it is true. Who does he do graphic artwork for? NOBODY! Well, for the stations he was at...but that's no more. Bet he told you he has a stalker too!!! Why does he pay child support to a woman he claims stalks him and he never met???? Take a look at your buddy. You think everyone made this up and is out to ruin his reputation? Talk to the people who KNOW him...they'll set the record straight.
If you like Kahuna and/or respect him...you don't know him well enough. Respect the talent he has...but nothing more.

I know Kahuna very well and have known him for a few years now. What I spoke of earlier is the truth becuase I have first hand knowlege of it. I am not going to entertain someone nor get into an argument over it or his past. It seems like everytime he is brought up someone has to just run it in the ground. Let it go, stop eating sour grapes, and start acting like adults.
