Programming idea to sell HD radios

nd2023

Banned
People that live in markets which used to have an analog channel 6 are complaining about the loss of 87.7 FM. If the channel 6's simulcasted just their newscasts on an HD2, some of those people would buy HD radios. The general public thought that channel 6 used to run a radio station on 87.7 as a public service, and they think it's the TV station's fault for turning off 87.7. Simulcasting TV audio on HD radio would allow other TV channels to have a radio presence, not just channel 6. People are saying that they would subscribe to Sirius XM if channel 6 broadcasted there, so therefore those people would also be willing to buy an HD radio.

Anyone that buys an HD radio over a satellite radio is nuts. I have both and I get about 170 channels with Sirius-XM, it's far from perfect but I would still willingly pay for it for any one of about 5 channels that I listen to, and it It very rarely drops out. With HD radio I'm lucky to get one or two boring SOS stations and they don't even sound much better if at all. This is at home, I can just imagine how well a car HD receiver would work ;D. When is this junk going to just go away?
I had an analog channel 6 and I'm worried to death about it going away, in fact I can't sleep at night.
