Progressive talk appears to be gone from WWZN

Gasp, censorship! ::)

And in the bringing back the you-know-what dept., this posting on Hot Air (right leaning) points
out that it's the FCC, not the Congress, who could bring back the FD--as early as June, should
"three out of the five appointees" be Democrats. However the Congress could make a law
blocking such a move, and last yr there actually was a stemming of such an effort due to
a bill pushed through by former talk host Mike Pence (R-In.) which would have denied funding
for the FCC if "Fairness" Doct. were brought back (prob. best discussed on another board,
though I'm responding to a few points made above as to whether or not the FD could come back.
Maybe it won't happen but you never know. Or a "localism" bill could be pushed through by
Congress)

Santos may be back at least (maybe Collins too?) acc. to a message he passed on to Robin
of the Save Prog Radio Boston yahoo group. He says tune in Monday for more info.
Santos was on this AM (Monday 2/16). I didn't listen long because I find him unconscionably dull an inarticulate. However, I listened long enough to find out that Peter B Collins (who does a very good show) will no longer be heard on WWZN but may return in April following the end of BU (I think) sports PBP commitments. I'm guessing that Collins was on only two or so nights a week on average because of the pre-emptions for PBP. Santos is planning to stream Collins's program on the Web site he has started. (Sorry, I don't remember the URL, but someone did post it here a couple of weeks ago. It is NOT jeffsantos.com.)
