All Access: Columbus, Ohio's AM 1230 Progressive Talk WTPG makes 18 percent gain in latest overall numbers--from 1.1 to 1.3. It's the second consecutive rating increase and a 31 percent increase from last summer (when Cincinnati Reds baseball affected schedule).

Re: PD at KSFO thinks all conservsative radio is dying

Jack Swanson PD at KGO and conservative KSFO in San Francisco told Gene Burns --long time talk host---that he thought conservative talk was dead or dying...he started all conservative talk format at ksfo in 1996....one of the first station to brand itself as such

KPTK Seattle up 22% since fall book, and up 86% since last winter's book. Other talk stations above them in the ratings were flat on a year over year basis.

WROC-AM Rochester keeps bouncing around. They did okay last fall and then dropped in the winter. Randi's show has been made toast by silly ballgames airing quite often evenings. I'm looking forward to see what Stephanie Miller's addition did for their weekday morning ratings. They have to be better than Springer's old show.WROC is no major prize winner, but the GM of the local Entercom station group said he couldn't be happier with the station's performance, so I guess it's going to stay a hybrid AAR/Jones/WOR libtalk outlet.

Progressive Talk gains in L.A., Fresno, Akron, and Seattle

Libtalker KTLK in Los Angeles was up 43 percent from the fall book. Libtalker KFPT in Fresno was up 100 percent. Libtalker WARF in Akron was up 50 percent. And, as has been mentioned elsewhere on this board, libtalkers KPTK in Seattle and KPOJ in Portland continue to get good to great numbers. All are Air America affiliates.
