Project 9-6-1 Morning Show Preview?

Last night around 1am I turned on Project 9-6-1 and heard some guys talking and taking calls. They were on from 12am - 3am and at the end of the show said they would be back on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the same time to allow Atlanta to "get a feel" for them. It wasn't anything syndicated. It seems to me that this is likely the new morning duo being previewed during overnights for part of this week. I wonder if they will start mornings at the end of this week or the beginning of next week? I couldn't understand what they said their names were, it sounds like one of them may be named "Doug"? They played about 7 - 9 songs an hour.
 
"Heffe" and "Dubbs" are the names that the two hosts go by. It looks like they have some sort of past at Washington D.C.'s WJFK. After listening to the start of the show tonight, I'm now thinking it's more of an audition week.

Anyone else listen to the show? What do you think? Does it fit the station?
After Project 9-6-1's nice start with the winter book, should they start a morning show yet or just keep playing music for a while?

Zero competition in the coveted "redneck 96rock carryover" and "18 year old screamo-fan" demo, you're correct. If they bring in a pair of in-your-face, self-appointed "extreme" morning guys, people will leave in droves faster than you can say, "I can't believe they fired Southside Steve!"

Surely not for morning drive though? Nighttime jocks in DC for less than a year, followed by a year's stint in Orlando. Anywhere but CC-Atlanta and I'd think it was too absurd to even consider, but under the circumstances I suppose nothing is too far fetched.

I don't see CC having the budget for a duo to be in middays, afternoons, or nights. Sure it was done in afternoons on 96rock, but I think money is much tighter now. Plus, it's like I saw Whip point out after his firing- Aly from Middays is the APD, Chris is the PD, and Night host Knox gets part-time wages. I also don't see them going away from being music-centric outside of mornings- which I think will be a lot more music-centric than The Regular Guys.
 
They have high powered talent agent Bob Eatman repping them.

Looks like they are now trying out a 2nd show. This one is called "The Giant Show". I wonder how many "audition shows" there will be?
 
Tonight- a 3rd show began its "audition".

So now we have:
5/7 - 5/9- Jeffe and Dubbs
5/11 & 5/12- The Giant Show
5/14 - ? - The Morning Mess
 
I see Jeffe and Dubbs are working the 9 pm shift at Free FM NY while Larry Wachs does the 9 am shift.
