Promoting Your Station

Any good sites or sources to promote a new internet station? Ideas or leads would be very good. I have a station but now I am needing the traffic to come listen..:)

Just make a post like I did. My site has over 1,000 hits in a little under 2 months... roughly atleast 500 hits a month since October 2008.

Right, but that won't do any good for me and my station.

How many people on this board want to hear vintage middle of the road (MOR) music, now called lounge music or adult standards?

I just put my music stream back on line and I'm getting people from overseas sampling the music, along with a few listeners sticking around for a few hours. Nothing to brag about. Although, I did see one IP address from the U.K. logged in for a 19 hour stretch!

If you know anybody interested in such music ask them to try: http://www.mormemories.com.

Thank you.

Hi Captain,

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you don't get too tired of the stream...I only have about 1400 songs in the mix! ;-)

Thanks again,
Mike

Mike, I just visited your website (in screaming yellow!) and notice that you (or your station) aren't using Twitter, MySpace or Facebook to promote your stream. As someone who is trying to grow his audience, it seems counter-productive to NOT use social networking. We are doing standards and believe me, it works. (Also look at getting your station listed on iTunes, it should double your audience - it did for The Penthouse.)
