Proof of A Plant Call On Hannity

Just moments ago, OK?

Hannity takes a call from Topeka, Kansas. Caller asks, "How are you this morning?"

Hannity replies, "How are you this morning?"

"This morning." If you're going to use plants, at least give the impression that it's the afternoon. Good heavens.

while I consider Hannity the perfect example of absolute mediocrity rising to the top, and think he's more boring than watching paint dry, your "plant" example is kinda lame.

Really, who cares. His callers are mostly mindless sycophants anyway. Makes no difference in the end on that "show".

His show is on 3pm EDT. That means it starts at Noon on the west coast. I can see some people sticking to "morning" until about 1pm. Now, if the call came in the third hour of the show, then that's different.

Not that I'm accepting (or for that matter giving a #%#% about the premise), the caller was apparently from Topkea, which is only one hour behind NY, so the earliest a live hour would be, is 2PM.

But again, especially with Hannity's show, does it really make any difference? There are enough wingnuts calling in that he doesn't need to plant anything---other than making sure that the only people get through when they disagree, are incapable of defending their position.

Hannity is on three stations in my area. When I hear his show for a minute or two here and there, every caller seems to have met Hannity somewhere and have kept up some kind of correspondence, and he has pet names for half of them, and they were at a meet-and-greet and he talked to them and remembers them, and they sent him gifts and letters and he's meant the world to them and they like being "Hannitized."

A while back, I just kind of figured all of Hannity's callers were taped, plants, or otherwise "not live and off-the-cuff."

I wonder if Premiere or ABC or TRN would've picked up "The Hitler Show" if he had lived long enough?

Would he have pet callers?

Would he pitch Carbonite?

Would callers gleefully say "I've been Hitlerized!"?

Not a Hannity fan at all but I think this is a huge reach to say this is "proof of a plant." If you have ever screened calls you know that the callers get nervous, they get confused, they say things you tell them not to say. A common rule of screening for a national show is to ask the caller to not talk about the time of day. That way the call can be used in any day part and the listener not know. I really doubt that this was a set up call.

Then they least that they could do is edit out the entire exchange in which there are references to the "morning" when the call was actually being pre-recorded.

Right wing talk show hosts would have presented 'experts' saying the world was flat if they were around then. I wonder how many of them had reasons to justify apartheid in south africa like their buddy dick cheney.
