The story on the website:

"Rain Hits East Half Of DFW, West Remains Dry

(CBS 11 News) NORTH TEXAS Storms brought heavy rain and flooding into Parker and Tarrant Counties Monday night.

The downpour lasted about an hour in some areas, but that's all it took to cause flooding.

Officials blocked off roads at the intersection of Hwy 377 and Broadway in Haltom City. Other roads throughout the city were also blocked.

Some drivers avoided warnings and tried to drive through the flooded roads.

According to the National Weather Service, most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A foot of flowing water can sweep vehicles off the road.

The east side of the metro area, however, experienced clear skies and the last of the day's sunshine.

The problem? Haltom City, and Parker Counties are on the WEST SIDE OF THE METROPLEX( HALTOM CITY IS WEST OF CENTER

Forgive me for putting the whole website article here, but they wouldtake it down after awhile. This is inexcusable!! Surely they could hire a proof reader! For the record Dallas didnt get any rain today..Ft.worth points WEST and south ..did!!

Perhaps East for them is east of their studios??? ;)

Considering they moved towns closer to San Antonio, its really minor for them to flip Haltom City with Mesquite. Perhaps it was a "sister cities" program we havent heard about.

I'm reminded of part of the Ron White routine about his near plane-crash:

"I flew from Beaumont to Houston because my manager doesn't own a globe....."

What CBS 11 needs is not proofreaders - they need a map.
