First, I was again fortunate to attend the WVBA Awards Dinner, which was held at the Waterfront Hotel in Morgantown last evening.
I would like to propose a new award: "Outstanding Radio Group/Station Mentoring of a High School Radio Station" (or something to that effect).
To this end, I would nominate SEVEN RANGES RADIO for their ongoing support (and occasional rescue) of WRSG. They have aided us in more ways than can be properly recounted. Just recently, they have installed a new STL receiver and loaned us an STL transmitter until our new one arrived, which they will also install. They have saved us untold thousands of dollars. TomT, I will forever be in your debt! Along with co-owner and general manager Sam Yoho and Operations Manager Scott Northcraft, Seven Ranges Radio, Tom T has constantly interrupted his busy life to make us the station that thousands turn to for a diverse offering of formats.
For the WVBA to award SEVEN RANGES RADIO the first award of this type would be a fitting and proper first step in acknowledging their stewardship and friendship. By helping us, they are looking out for the future of radio, and we appreciate them more than mere words can state.
