props to KJBX/KDXY/KDEZ for WX coverage

I was able to listen to 2 of the 3 at times as the storm hit Marmaduke and I have to have between the 2 radio groups from J'boro I can hear in Memphis Triple FM hands down gave the best coverage.

Coverage on the 3 and on at least 2 of the CC stations I hears was pretty much wall to wall for a time.

Both groups should be commended for stepping to the plate and serving the way they did sunday afternoon & evening.

The reason I felt the coverage was better on 1 group over the other the triple fm group had callers on the air live giving real time coverage and it was the fastest most accurate info.

Also noteworthy as I believe I have before meantioned is the E. Ark B'casters group.
KWYN Am/Fm,KCJF, & KTRQ
Though 103.9 was dead for a bit eventually it was plugged in the the simulcast.
Cross county residents are lucky to have guys like this who jump and run the the stations and get out the information. I have turned them on numerous times when the weather was acting up to the west.

My heart and prayers go out to those who have gone through such a terrible event as the people in N/E Ark, West TN, and the Boothill have had to face. Those were some of the worst supercell tornado spawning storms that have rolled through in a good while and they will be remembered for a long time I am afraid.

I am curious to know... was all of the coverage from the stations live and in studio or were some of the stations simulcasting K8??

I am sure that Clear Channel was able to take advantage of Terry Wood being on staff...

Trey Stafford and at least one other person sounded in studio at the Fox,Z,106.7

I think Terry lives really close to the studios and was probably on the coverage first. I know I was listening to KFIN's coverage as I crossed the bridge into Arkansas when they were a lot of clouds rolling in to downtown Memphis. Terry's coverage was awesome and I kept it all the way home to Trumann. I could not hear's KDXY's coverage until I almost got home.

I think both groups did a great job. They proved once again that Jonesboro is the best radio market in the State. You can put any of the six 'big' FM's in Jonesboro and put them in Little Rock or elsewhere in Arkansas and they would be number one in their demo/music genre.

I'm partial to Trey because I worked for Triple FM, but I think they did a better job and proved why the Fox is #1 in Jonesboro.

I was impressed with the people they put on the air.

I'm sure that real time info saved many lives Sunday.

Did anyone else like me check out Caldwell's Trio of Stations?
