Protest against Akon's "Sorry, Blame It on Me"

I mean really. Let's be honest. This "apology" for grinding against little girls and throwing teenagers off the stage is just another way for him to make money. He isn't getting the sponsorship money from Cingular anymore so he needs it another way. I really think that everyone should go along with me in not giving this track a single spin...

If it a good song ( Make money for Record Co, and Radio Stations ,if The People love the song ) , it will get alot of spins . If the so called 21 ( or 18 ) and over Club, was doing there job , This young girl, should not had been let into the club . Club Owners and Club Security , Should Start thinking with there head ,on there Shoulders, and not with there Head, in there Boxers ( Look what that young girl had on, J-lo stuff ). What is wrong with some American Families ? A 14 year old , should not be allowed to walk the Street, all Hours of the Night .

What's the payoff to the listener if stations boycotts the song? From what I'm hearing, the song is getting good reaction in markets where it's been spun.

Its A HIT RECORD ( OR IT WILL BE ) . Your Protest is a waste of time .

You're going to be out on a lonely island on this one.

I don't personally think it's single-worthy, but it's a good "buzz record."

Had to bump this up. Evidently "Sorry, Blame It On Me" is top 5 at iTunes.

Same here. It's actually #1 at iTunes now. The only way to get this song is download, and people are seeking it out.

It was not an American family, I believe the incident took place in Trinidad. The 14 year old girl was a preachers daughter. It's probably a more innocent culture there and they just don't expect things like simulated rape to take place on stage. I don't blame the girl, the parents, or the club. I only blame Akon. In fact if it was a 20, 30, or 40 year old woman on stage getting tossed around like a rag doll (I have seen the video, it was barbaric) I would be just as offended.

Yeah the song will be/is a hit, you can't blame radio for playing it. They are just giving the listeners what they want. When it comes down to it you have to blame the listeners or public in general for rewarding such bad behavior. If our culture really didn't want to go down the uncivilized animalistic road were headed towards, the careers of artists like Akon would be finished the second they pull inicidents like this.

Its is the club Problem ( she 14 ) Its is her and her Parents Problem ( She 14 at a Adult Concert dress like a Hooker,Most Likely Sneeking into other Nightclubs,Strip Club, Having Sex with older men who dont know her age ) . Look like The Preacher Man is giving out all the good words to everybody, but not to his Daughter (or By her actions, she not trying to hear it ) .This girl could had walk off the stage at anytime ,but she enjoyed it . I was at a Janet Jackson Concert ( Velvet Rope Tour ) and she pulled a man from the crowd and felt him up (I guess the man was in his 20's but it was a All age show ) . Can you say DOUBLE STANDARD .
