I think I read something about this on here a while ago, but today at 89.3 there was no ICE-FM. There was WUMD. It's on the website http://www.wsmu.org/. Does this mean they're no longer at 91.1 in North Dartmouth or is it a simulcast? It's eclectic to say the least. I heard a polka & I heard Dave & Ansel Collins, but it wasn't their hit Double Barrel. I wonder if ICE-FM will show up somewhere else? Will we never hear those jingles again? Flags are flying half-mast in Johnston.OOOH DEEE!!!
 
Yes, WUMD is now on 89.3 FM. I heard them earlier tonight. WUMD no longer on 91.1 FM. I think 91.1 FM is now running by the same bible thumping rubbish that's on 88.1 FM in Westerly (the former WBLQ). I don't know what 91.1's new call letters are (if there are new call letters).
 
I'm glad to see Johnston/Cranston/Providence get de-iced.............. watch it freeze up agaion when 'ICE finds a new frequnecy and ill-legally broadcasts without a license again

Not to criticize Paul but being in North Dakota why would be glad to see anything that happens round here? Sounds like you have a WICE issue. Just some advice that blazing a trail of negativity from coast to coast on radio boards will do nothing for you in the long run. And please don't cite illegality since this is RI & a pirate station is one step below jaywalking in importance to most.

Well if we hear WICE anywhere else we'll be sure to post it & you can come up here & make a citizen arrest. Not trying to antagonize but you may have reasons but over the years you've also had issues. I'm glad you've landed somewhere but over time I hope you'll find out reasons & issues have to be let go.
 
89.3 WUMD is the new home for UMass Dartmouth's WSMU. the 91.1 frequency has been sold to a religious outfit that will take it over on July 1st. Until then, WUMD will simulcast on both frequencies.
