PROVIDENCE IS GOIN'DOWN

Now it's market 41 down from I think 39. Out of the top 40. At this rate in five years it'll be out of the top 50.

That depends on some things happening--or not happening...Arbitron could always decide to fold Fall River and New Bedford into the Providence survey..not saying it would happen, but there was discussion a few years ago about folding Akron OH into the Cleveland OH Metro..it really doesn't make sense from a cost perspective to have Fall River/New Bedford as a seperate market, when you're looking at the fact that both cities are 20-30 minutes from Providence..I doubt a lot of the ownership groups are going to pay for PPM in #177..but you could make the case, if you're Arbitron, that folding the market could make your job a little less expensive to complete..and get some folks on board the PPM bandwagon that otherwise would have never thought it would work for them.

Sucks that now people will get canned from a smaller market
